FEMAG/CZ V19.1 Release Highlights

The main new features and fixes introduced in FEMAG/CZ V19.1 beta (rev.0) are:

  • Improved calculation of conductive heat fluxes.
  • Improved boundary conditions are imposed for the melt flow model in F3 calculations. Can improve the accuracy of the prediction of species concentration (such as oxygen concentration).
  • Automatic running of a pre-defined set of simulations with varying operating conditions and/or material parameters of furnace constituents.
  • Fix for the computation of radiative heat fluxes.
  • Fix for the problem of semi-transparent materials parameters that were not correctly taken into account.
  • Fix for some problems in time-dependent simulations such as erroneous message “time step is too small” and missing translate_cry tool.
  • Present version is compatible with FEMAG/CZ_15.x.x versions.

The developments planned for the next versions are:

  • Further improvements for the prediction of oxygen concentration.
  • Possibility to perform a 3D time-dependent simulation.
  • New upwinding model.
  • Bug fix in case of an “extended local domain”.
  • The possibility to introduce in wxFEMAG GUI the parameters related to imposing a mixed boundary condition along the crystal wall for the point defect model (instead of the introduction in the "batch/pointDefects.ini" file).
  • Quasi-Dynamic simulation modes.
