The global heat transfer simulation takes into account :
  • radiation and conduction in the overall furnace,
  • convection inside melt and gas phases.
"Global" means that all the furnace elements are included and that the simulation results are coupled.
Global heat transfer. Temperature isolines are separeted by 50 K. The heater power values are listed in front of the corresponding heater.
Convection inside the melt phase. The Stoke's stream function is represented with isolines separated by 0.1 cm^3/s.
Gas flow represented by velocity vectors.
